This Privacy Policy describes how TimeBack ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the TimeBack app and website (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

Parent PIN used to protect settings and parental actions.

1.2 Information generated by using the app

Subscription status information (e.g., active/inactive, product ID, expiration date).
App interaction analytics events (e.g., onboarding and paywall events).
App settings/state on your device (e.g., allowance, earned time, selected settings, switch state).

2. How We Use Information

Provide core app functionality (setup, parental gate, screen-time logic).
Validate subscriptions and support restore flow.
Improve reliability and product experience through analytics.

3. Device Control and Screen Time APIs

TimeBack uses Apple frameworks such as FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings to manage blocked/unblocked states on-device. We do not receive full content data about a child's app activity from these APIs.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers that help operate the Service, including:

Apple (in-app purchase and platform services).
Google Firebase (analytics services).

5. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy, unless longer retention is required by law.

6. Your Controls and Rights

TimeBack does not require account creation. All app settings and state are stored on your device. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase any personal information we hold.

7. Children's Privacy

TimeBack is intended to be configured by parents/guardians for child use. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us.

8. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data. No system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
